Europe Direct Galati is a European funded project that provides information on the EU both on- and offline. For this purpose, they wanted to develop a digital information point and create a social media based photography contest. We had the chance to assist them in meeting the European Union's requirements.

The World on One Screen

Built from the ground up

The application needed to be built from the ground up. After revising the brief, we conducted our own extensive research. This not only implied gathering information, but also visual and audio assets such as photographs and national anthems to support the content. We then adapted it to meet both Europe Direct Galati and the EU's requirements and rules.

Built from scratch.
Perfectly aligned and integrated.

Custom solution

Perfectly integrated, user-friendly and, of course, tailored

At the same time we developed the framework and platform for the application of the information point. The custom layout was perfectly integrated, user-friendly and, of course, tailored to the touchscreen so as to be pixel perfect.

Tending to every pixel

Everything aligned throughout the app.

The material we had gathered was then compiled and further edited so as to be consistent. This included information on the organizational structure of the EU, with its institutions and procedures, but also all member and candidate states. Everything aligned throughout the app.

Everything aligned throughout the app.
We decided to go the extra mile.

The cherry on top

We decided to go the extra mile

The purpose of the information point was to educate the public on the European Union. Therefore, we decided to go the extra mile and provide an interactive feature as well, through a user-friendly quiz. This served as an extra educational tool, since it gave quiz takers the right answers where they failed. However, it was also a means to determine the engagement of users with the app.
